Users with active subscription to PlayStation Plus can expect the titles to be available for download on the August 4.

PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 will each get 4 free games this August, while PS Vita will have to settle for 3 free games. Until such time the free games for August is made available, users can still download the free games offered for July that includes "Rocket League" and "Styx: Master of Shadows."

In a related post, GameSpot recently reported that Sony is planning on including a PlayStation feature that will allow owners of PlayStation 4 to vote for the next game they want to be featured free on Sony's next free game extravaganza. Free games derived from the votes, while they will be featured free on Play Station 4, will have a discounted price on PlayStation Plus upon release.

The new PlayStation feature will likely to be implemented by September as August free games has just been released. Primary votes that showed high on ranks were "Armello," "Grow Home" and "Zombie Vikings." Ubisoft has been developing the game "Grow Home," but has not been integrated to PlayStation 4. Publishers however, have already contemplated on getting the game "Grow Home" to video game consoles soon. That being said, Art Director Jack Couvela said that they need to prove themselves in PCs first before heading to consoles. "Grow Home" cannot be expected to be available on iPad either as the game is prompted by controllers.
