"Halo 5" may prove to be one of the best of the "Halo' series, but not without the setback of dishing its split screen feature that caused fans to bring their sentiments online. According to Attack of the Fan Boy, fans have been enjoying the split screen feature of all the "Halo" series and this is not the time to remove that. Game developer 343 Industries was flooded with complaints when fans realized the split screen feature will not be available in "Halo 5." The online petition has been making rounds on the internet in hopes of retaining the feature for "Halo 5."

In their petition, they mentioned how 343 Industries limited the capability of owners of Xbox One to share their gaming experience with their friends with the removal of the split screen feature. "Halo 5: Guardians" in particular have been mentioned in the petition. They also questioned why the developer removed the split screen feature when it has been there all along, since the beginning of the "Halo" series and its place on Xbox consoles. Video game developer 343 Industries have previously acknowledged the act, saying it was one of the most difficult decisions the team has made. The online petition has already garnered 5,000 supporters, a number that may be hard to dismiss and has to be acknowledged.

The "Halo" series has been significantly enjoyed by friends and family members because of its split screen feature, but this time, fans and users are forced to play alone and so with the other users.

According to Polygon, the removal of the split screen feature in "Halo 5: Guardians" can almost be considered a crime. Players who have supported the series from the beginning felt the lose as playing as a team was totally killed by "Halo's" developer.

According to Josh Holmes, studio head at 343 Industries, the decision to remove the beloved split screen feature will bring a new experience for the generation gaming process, and while it may have been a tough choice to be made, it is for the development of the game itself.

"Halo 5: Guardians" is set to be launched in October.
