The speculation first came to light when the production crew filmed a funeral scene in Peachtree Christian Church, wherein several extras were required to wear black. The website cited that one of the characters wearing a black tuxedo was Steve Rogers himself, which could only mean that another Marvel character could have died in the funeral scene. So far, there is no information regarding who died in the "Civil War" film.

It was previously reported by KDramastars that Anthony Mackie's character Sam Wilson, a.k.a. Falcon, could be a potential replacement for Steve as Captain America. Mackie explained that the "shield" could be passed on to just about anyone including the likes of Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), or even himself.

Aside from Steve's supposed "death" in the film, the Latino Post reported that an explanation for the Winter Soldier scene in the "Ant-Man" film has been revealed.

According to the website, Stan revealed that Winter Soldiers was trapped by someone in vise during the post credit scene in "Ant-Man." Fan speculated that Winter Soldier being trapped was done by Captain America himself, but Cinemablend dismissed the theory, stating that its either Crossbones (Frank Grillo) or Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) who trapped Bucky's cybernetic arm in the device.

Lastly, Comicbook.com reported that Tom Holland's Spider-Man cameo scene in "Captain America: Civil War" has already been filmed.

Slash Film further adds that Spider-Man screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein are headed to Marvel to look at the Spider-Man cameo in "Civil War" as Goldstein teased that they hear "good things" about the cameo and will likely to see Spidey's first costume during that scene.

A previous report revealed that the Russo Brothers teased several parts of Spider-Man's costume and what it may look like based on a design by DeviantArt artist Pietro Scola Di Mambro.

Moviepilot reportedly claimed that Spider-Man will also have another costume in the form of the Iron Spider armor in the Marvel "Civil War" comics. Peter Parker worn the suit during "Civil War" storyline, showing his allegence to Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man and the Superhuman Registration Act (SRA).

"Captain America: Civil War" is scheduled to be released in cinemas on May 6, 2016.
