After acquiring Nokia's smartphone segment, Microsoft has successfully generated sufficient curiosity to keep its fans guessing about the next step; however, a recent leak of images gives users into what could be Microsoft's next smartphone. But, the prototype is covered in hard case ensuring that the leaked images reveal very little information about the upcoming device. Nevertheless, ardent fans of the Lumia phones continue to speculate.

According to Financial Express, a certain set of images leaked on the internet are actually giving customers a sneak preview into what could be the technology's company next smartphone in the market. The report also goes on to establish that the leaked images reveal very little information about what the users may expect in the new gadget. However, it looks like Microsoft has decided to skip the 940 series and instead jump to the 950 and 950 XL models. Though not much of the specifications are revealed, it has been revealed that the new models being introduced by Microsoft comes with a USB C connector. This will be a completely new addition to the Lumia series.




Another report on Digital trends says that it is being assumed that the new 950 series will have all the specs of the 940 series, though in an improved and more interesting format.

The 950 model is expected to come with a 5.2-inch screen that has a 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM, plus 32GB of internal storage space and a MicroSD card slot. On the other hand, the 950 XL model will come with slightly higher specs like 440p resolution on a big 5.7-inch display, and finishing with a Snapdragon 810 processor. Both models will include powerful camera systems, reinforcing Nokia's forte when it comes to camera phones. Rumors also indicate that the new Lumia phone is likely to cost more than the iPhone 6.

Additionally, both of these devices are expected to come with Windows 10. The XL model will also include the Microsoft Pen Technology and will have a triple LED flash for better view.
