Korean heartthrob Choi Siwon was not so coy about admitting that he likes Eddie Peng the first time he laid eyes on the Taiwanese actor. In fact, Choi was so taken with the 33-year-old "To the Fore" co-star that he could not help but tell director Dante Lam about it.

"I told director Lam I really like Eddie and he's my 'oppa'," The Malay Mail Online quoted a grinning Choi.

Peng and Choi are two of the lead actors in the action-drama movie "To the Fore." With 26-year-old Chinese actor Shawn Dou, they complete the trio of cyclists vying to make a name in the international scene while each facing personal struggles. The production reportedly amounted to S$16 million (approximately US$ 11.6 million) and took six months to complete.

Choi could have conveniently called Peng "hyung," a Korean term of respect for an older brother, when the K-Pop idol discovered that he was younger than his fellow actor. But with a bond that came so easy between the two, calling each other "oppa" just rolled off the tongue.

"I like Eddie. He's a good friend. It's really hard to find a connection (like that). When I first saw him, I was like 'wow, this guy is really awesome.' He's really a hard worker. He's my oppa," Choi proudly declared during a press conference on Wednesday at the Art Science Museum in Singapore.

"We got along really well and would hang outside of filming. . . But we're so goofy all the time I call him 'oppa' for fun," Peng shared during an interview in November 2014 in Singapore.

Choi also shared how helpful Peng has been with him, especially when it comes to his Mandarin accent. Every day he would ask Peng to check his pronunciation. The Taiwanese star would then tell him that there is nothing to be conscious about and that Choi did speak better when he is being comfortable. For Peng, working with the Super Junior member was "lots of fun" and he had nothing but admiration for Choi's professionalism and enthusiasm on the set.
