Manchester United will be making their Champions League comeback after failing to qualify into the European competition during the previous season. They have been drawn against Club Brugge from Belgium. With the club slowly beginning to stabilize under the guidance of Louis Van Gaal, qualifying into the Champions League group stage will help build the team's confidence in the post-Alex Ferguson era.

Another returning team is Valencia, which will be aiming to become the fifth Spanish club to make it to the group stage of the competition. It won't be easy with Monaco standing in their way. Monaco made it to the quarter-finals last season after knocking out Arsenal, while Valencia didn't even qualify.

Spain is so far the most dominant country in the competition with 4 teams already qualified into the main draw. The top 3 eams in the Spanish Primera Liga, namely FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, are automatically qualified. Sevilla also earned a spot after winning last season's Europa League.

Spanish clubs will also be defending the title two seasons in a row with Real Madrid winning it in 2013/14 and with defending champions Barcelona.

History could also be made between Kazakhstan's FC Astana and Albania's KS Skenderbeu will be looking to be the first clubs from their respective countries to ever make it to the UEFA Champions League group stage. They will be going up against Apoel FC and GNK Dinamo, respectively.

Meanwhile, former Champions League winner Celtic will be going up against Swedish club Malmo. The play-off round will be played in a home-and-away series on August 18-19 for the first leg and on August 25-26 for the second leg. The 10 winners will join 22 automatically qualified teams into the group stage, which will begin on September 15.

The full match schedule could be found in the UEFA Champions League website. The final match for the 2015/16 season will be hosted by the San Siro in Milan, on May 28, 2016.
