New details and possible spoilers for "Arrow" season 4 have been revealed regarding an old character returning to villainy and an appearance from Sarah Connor as the White Canary.

According to Franchise Herald, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and the rest of Team Arrow will now face a new enemy in season 4 in the form of Damien Darhk (Neil McDonough), Ra's Al Ghul's former friend turned enemy. Aside from Darhk, other villains are also announced in the series such as Batman enemy Anarky (Alexander Calvert), Nazi-themed villain Baron Bltzkreig (Jimmy Akingbola), and mysterious character from the show called "Conklin" played by "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" actor Ryan Robbins.

Cinemablend reports that Robbin's character will appear in the flashback scenes during the show and he is described as a ruthless member of Shadowspire, a group of collective criminals and Conklin will slowly and gradually become a personal enemy of Oliver as season 4 progresses.

With all these villains coming to "Arrow" season 4, one particular character has always been consistent part of the show, and that is Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman).

Barrowman has explained during the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con event that Malcolm's role in "Arrow" season 4 is hard one since its difficult to classify him as a hero, a villain or an anti-hero at that, Franchise Herald note.

Malcolm Merlyn played an instrumental part in season 3 as he made an uneasy alliance with Team Arrow in stopping the League of Assassin's in destroying Starling City. He eventually succeeded and has become the "Head of the Demon" in the League much to Nyssa Al Ghul's chagrin.

Barrowman teased that he wanted the fans to keep guessing as to whether he will be an ally or an enemy again to Oliver Queen and the rest of Team Arrow in the show.

"That's the point. We want you to think, Oh, he's changing. He's really good,' Barrowman said. "And then a split secon later go, 'I hate him!' So he goes back and forth, but I dont think he will go soft..."

In other news, International Business Times reports that Caity Lotz will return as Sarah Lance in "Arrow" this season under the new alias, White Canary. The website further adds that White Canary will appear in the first few episodes within season 4 before her initial appearance in the new spin-off show, "Legends of Tomorrow."

MNR Daily speculated that Sarah Lance's resurrection in the Lazarus Pit will likely be shown in the show, but whether this is done by Malcolm's orders is still questionable and a bit of irony since it was Malcolm who murdered her by using his daughter Thea Queen.

Christian Post further adds that Sarah' return to life may present a possible love triangle between Oliver and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). It was reported before that Felicity Smoak will likely be killed by Damien Darhk, prompting Oliver to return to his vigilante persona in order to get revenge on him.

Den of Geek previouly reported that two episodes for "Arrow" season 4 have already been written entiltled, "Green Arrow" and "The Candidate".

"Arrow" season 4 will premier on Oct. 7, 2015 on the CW Network.
