According to Billboard's Keith Caulfield, the single will likely be another new hit. ET Online seconded Bilboard and said that "Wildest Dreams" will no doubt be played countless times on the radio once again just like her other hits "Blank Space," "Style," "Bad Blood," and "Shake It Off."

Of course, for Swifties, the news is exciting. See comments here and here.

However, Katy Perry fans aren't buying the telling Billboard article, according to The Inquisitr. In the comments section after the write-up, Katy Perry fans didn't think have second thoughts denouncing Taylor.

"Sorry, Taylor Swift. But nobody cares about you anymore. People are looking forward to Katy Perry's new album. Perry is a real talent. You are just a fad who is going down in flames," said one of the commenters named Lars McDonald.

"Don't worry, Lars. Swift is a nothing compared to Perry. She may be selling records now but a huge backlash is waiting around the corner. Pretty soon we will be reading about Taylor in rehab," a commenter with the handle EricIsPorter, said.

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's feud appears a legit one in the midst of made-up celebrity bad bloods. According to the Business Insider, the pop stars' disagreements began when Swift's dancers left her tour to join Katy. Swift even created the song "Bad Blood" in her 1989 album as a diss to Katy.

Recently, Swift also made a pass at Perry while performing on stage, reported the New York Daily News.

"The 25-year-old songstress belted out her hit track 'Bad Blood' during her '1989' stop in Foxborough, Mass., over the weekend and somehow a shark dancer popped up behind a screen," it says in their report.

Katy Perry's Super Bowl performance earlier this year featured sharks.

While Katy Perry is the current record holder for being the only female artist to have the most number one singles in an album with "Teenage Dream," it seems Taylor Swift might be able to beat that record with her "1989" album.

In just its first week, "1989 sold 1.287 million copies, making it the largest American record debut in 12 years, according to Billboard.
