One clue Google is already getting ready for the arrival of its next generation smartphone (also rumored as the Nexus 6) is the disappearance of the Galaxy S4 from the Google Play Edition website.

Another indicator making Android fans around the world all the more excited is Android Central claiming the upcoming Motorola smartphone is the XT1096.

If this kit turns out to be the Moto phone, then XT1096 is possibly the Moto X+1 that Motorola claims will impress people in late August or September when it's unveiled.

According to rumors, the Moto Nexus 6 is going to be a monster device with a screen profile of almost 6-inches, much like a tablet.

There aren't a lot of details about Shamu yet, but analysts speculate it'll the first smartphone that will highlight the functional and aesthetic improvements and power of the upcoming Android L that Google has been tirelessly working on.

Nexus 6 could have been patterned after LG G3 but LG appears to be out of the Shamu project. Website 9to5Google reported the Galaxy S4 with native Android was removed from the store on Aug. 6 with no replacement in sight.

Because of its removal, only two Google Play smartphones remain: HTC One M8 GPe and the Moto G GPe.

These devices are also expected to disappear from the store soon and by that time, history will repeat itself. The old will be cleared out so Google can replace it with the new models.

Nexus 5 started to be available between October and November 2013 and the Google Nexus 6 release date could also take place during the same period this year.

Nexus 6 is said to be superior to the HTC One M8, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and iPhone 6 because of its aggressive pricing and good features.

Nexus 6 may feature a full HD, 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution with 441ppi pixel density. It's powered by a quad-core MT6732 64-bit chip clocked at 1.5 GHz or octa-core MT6752 clocked at 2.0GH.
