Former Real Madrid and AC Milan star Kaka has found a second wind in his career after having been called back into national team action for Brazil. Team manager Dunga called him back for upcoming friendly matches against Costa Rica and the United States.

Brazil is scheduled to play against Costa Rica on September 5 in New York City. They will then take on the United States on September 8, at the Foxborough Stadium.

"We have brought him in for his experience, just as we have done with Robinho in the past," said Brazil coach Dunga, in a press conference following the announcement of the selection.

According to CNN, Kaka made his last national team appearances as a substitute 10 months ago against Argentina and Japan. At around the same time last summer, he finalized his move from AC Milan to new Major League Soccer franchise Orlando City.

His signing turned him into the highest paid MLS player in history. The Orlando Sentinel reported that he agreed to a $6.66 million contract with an annual guaranteed compensation of $7.17 million. Despite the impressive MLS record, it's not as impressive considering the fact that Spanish giants Real Madrid once paid $100 million for his services.

In general, many of Europe's top players have been moving to the United States to play in the MLS in the twilight of their careers. His former Real Madrid teammate David Beckham started the trend back in 2007 when he signed for LA Galaxy.

In the past year alone, English legends Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard have made their way across the pond and into the MLS. Spanish superstars Raul and Xavi have also found their way into MLS teams after wildly successful careers in Europe, and for their respective national team.

In late 2014, Kaka had a successful stint on-loan at his old club Sao Paolo while he was waiting for the MLS season to start for Orlando. Back in March, he expressed hopes of possibly making a FIFA World Cup appearance one more time.

"I have a three-year contract with Orlando," he told CNN. "In four years, we have another World Cup. If I feel good and Brazil needs me, (it) will be a good way to stop playing. So I hope I can play another World Cup," he said.

With his recent call-up and a few years in Orlando in which he can show off, he might get his wish for a career curtain call at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. He will be 36 by then and it would truly be his last chance to make a spectacular exit. For now, he has at least two matches with the national team to look forward to.
