No Suspects Yet For Gruesome Death of 6-year old Jenise Wright

Police have yet to arrest a suspect in the murder of Jenise Wright

The police are facing a blank wall on who killed 6-year-old Jenise Wright whose body was discovered on Thursday by an FBI dog team among the blackberry bushes and overhead trees in the Steele Creek  area.

Jenise had been missing since Sunday and police have yet to come up with a list of suspects saying it's  a laborious process.

"We have nobody," county sheriff Deputy Scott Wilson told NBC News. Wilson said the investigation will cover Jenise's family first and then move on to the neighbors, sex offenders, homeless people, transients, and the surrounding community.

The police have initially investigated Jenise's parents following an information they received that the Wrights took 24 hours to report the disappearance of their daughter. Police searched the house and put the parents under a lie detector test. The results of the investigation have yet to be released.

Child welfare officials have found "probable cause" to remove the two other young children of the Wrights from their home.

Police have started investigating the Steele Creek  community last Friday, checking the identities of the people living in the community and going door-to-door taking swabs for DNA testing from the neighbors who agreed to it.

Neighbors and residents in the nearby areas have expressed fear for the safety of their children after the gruesome murder of Jenise. Most of them have decided to keep their children inside their homes, or not let them go out alone.

As Jenise's family prepares for the little girl's burial, the county medical examiner has ruled Jenise's death as a homicide. They refused to give more details.

Jenise's death has sparked an outrage among the residents who  called on the authorities to immediately identify and arrest the suspect. The residents said they are fearful for their children's safety and told police that a serial killer may be on the loose.
