"Gotham" Season 2 is eagerly awaited by Batman fans all over the world. While the new season might still have Bruce Wayne as a child, spoiler videos of season 2 which premiers on Sept. 21 have some twists, which justify the wait. Fox has upped the anticipation level by releasing a few videos on YouTube, each suggesting of fascinating twists in the life of major characters including Bruce Wayne, Edward Nygma, and Oswald Cobblepot or The Penguin.

A major twist has Oswald/The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), who touched new heights of savagery with the last season seeing him push Fish Mooney, an almost equal rival, off the terrace. He declared himself as the new king of Gotham, a position that is fascinatingly dangerous. While Oswald was a thrill to watch in the first season of "Gotham," he certainly has airs of a supervillain in season 2. The spoiler video has him talking about his stance after Fish Mooney's supposed death and his plans to rule over Gotham.

As for Bruce Wayne, who found the clue to a staircase behind the fireplace as Wayne mansion, season 2 will bring him closer to his metamorphosis into the Batman. Gotham's first season had him doubting his father of leading a secret life and the discovery of this hidden place will lead him closer to the life that his late father was planning for. With fans waiting to see him pull on the Batman avatar, the new season will bring him one step closer to it.

The Aftermath video series, which picks after season 1, suggests of the rather innocent-looking Edward Nygma developing into a more cunning version of himself. His mental condition that resembles schizophrenia has him playing Jekyll and Hyde with Kristen Kringle. His cold-blooded murder of Tom, Kringle's boyfriend and the mind games with Kringle are about to escalate in the new season. The Aftermath video series has him confessing that he finds Kringle picking his clues sexy! More of his psychotic frenzies are in order in "Gotham" season 2.

More additions to the Aftermath series are expected since Gotham still has its lead character Jim Gordon and his on and off girlfriend Barbara's story to succeed. While Jim is the proverbial good guy for the show, Barbara's character touched shades of grey in the last season itself. Other than this, Selina Kyle or the Catwoman will still prowl the streets, running into Bruce Wayne every now and then.
