In the wake of the controversial horse scene that involved Fan Bingbing in July, talk show host Jin Xing reportedly gave the Chinese actress her two cents: "stop doing sex scenes all the time." Netizens saw her advice as unsolicited and "sarcastic," and instinctively posted angry responses toward "the Oprah Winfrey of China."

"She should stop doing sex scenes all the time. Otherwise, when Bingbing gets older, all people can remember are her commercials and 'chains' (in the scene)," Toggle quoted Xing.

Xing made a straight-arrow statement on Weibo regarding the netizens' reactions, which supposedly further fueled more online attacks against her.

"Brainless fans of a certain celebrity, come and scold me in my face if you have the guts!" Xing allegedly challenged Fan's supporters.

Drawing the ire of many people with her biting remarks is nothing new to Xing, much less the comments thrown at her. In fact, she has earned the reputation of having a "poison tongue" before she even had her TV show and fiercely stands by it.

"My words aren't like massage oils -- they're like acupuncture needles, they go right to the nerve and twist it," Huffington Post author Matt Sheehan quoted Xing in April.

Xing first had a taste of fame in 1986 when she won in China's national dance competition as an 18-year-old boy. Even at a young age, Xing knew that she was different and her ambition for greater things must take a different route. With all the pains she had to endure as a member of the army's performance troupe, Xing stood firm with who she is and what she wants.

After two years, she took charge of her own life in New York with a highly coveted scholarship for modern dance. Several awards and international teaching stints later, she returned to her homeland and underwent gender confirmation surgery in 1994.

But what shot her to become a force to be reckoned with in the Chinese entertainment was her no-nonsense remark as a judge on the first season of China's "So You Think You Can Dance." According to Huffington Post, Xing took a swipe at the industry's exploitation of the contestants' "sob stories" instead of simply focusing on the talent. Her burning commentary went viral and became a launching pad for her talk show nine months later.

As of late, Xing posted online that she has been in touch with Fan's agency and arranged that the 4th highest paid Chinese actress appear on her nationally broadcasted program.

"I am not worried with these malicious online attacks, and hope that we will have the chance to cooperate in the future," Yahoo! quoted Xing's statement.
