It looks like new updates for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 have been revealed regarding new Phil Coulson fighting a new enemy and rumors of Melinda May and Bobbi Morse leaving the show.

According to Entertainment Weekly, ABC has released the whole plot synopsis for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his rag tag group of agents are searching the globe for possible super powered beings and plans on to protect or recruit them.

Ever since the battle in New York and Jiaying's Inhuman army wage war on season 2, Coulson has been busy building up the new S.H.I.E.L.D. from the ground up, while struggling with the lost of his cut-off hand. Her second in command Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) has yet to return, while Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) is still recovering from the traumatic torture that she recieved from Grant Ward (Brent Dalton). Leo Fitz (Ian De Caesteker) is obsessed with finding out what happened to her fellow teammate Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) after she was absorbed in the Kree Monolith during the send of season 2.

The plot futher adds that Phil Coulson and company are in high alert from new treats from HYDRA who is now led by Ward and several rogue Inhumans not to mention a new goverment agency called the "Advanced Threat Containment Unit" or ATCU as they are led by a mysterious (Constants Zimmers) and her right hand man, Banks (Andrew Howard). Two new Inhumans will also appear in the series and Coulson along with Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) and Mack (Henry Simmons) will slowly assemble a team consist of experienced agents and superpowered beings to protect the world from HYDRA and other rogue groups.

International Business Times reported that former NFL player Matthew Willig will be playing the Inhuman character Lash and Juan Pablo Raba will take on a role of an original character Joey whose powers are just emerging.

In other news, there are rumors making rounds that two cast members will likely leave "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3.

According to The Latin Post, Adrianne Palicki's character Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird might be leaving the show soon as ABC and Marvel Studios has just recently approved the "Mockingbird" spin-off series. The spin-off will likely feature Bobbi's misadventures along with her ex-husband Lance Hunter (Nick Blood).So far, it is unknown as when will she be leaving the show.

Aside from Mockingbird, Melinda May will likely not comeback to the group as the plot details suggest she has not yet returned after her extended vacation with her ex-husband.

A previous report from Aceshowbiz revealed that series regular Ming-Na Wen told the TV Guide in an interview the fate of agent May in season 3.

"In any situation when someone is so devoted to their work as May was, but then realizing over the last two years that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't really what she dedicate her life to," Wen told TV Guide.

It was previously reported that "Avengers" star Jeremy Renner is interested to reprise his role as Hawkeye in season 3 of the show as long as Marvel Studios invites him or his schedule is clear for future episodes.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 will premiere on Sept. 29, 2015 on ABC.
