Kate Middleton is tired of being compared to Princess Diana. The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly requested to take a break from it, claiming that she is in dire need of spending some time alone.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Middleton could not blame people for comparing her to the late Princess Diana. Given that the two are both considered commoners, it was exciting for the general public to see a real life fairy tale come true.

It was said that both of them were viewed by the masses as "relatable and accessible." Princess Diana was earlier known as "The People's Princess" while Middleton was dubbed "The People's Second Princess."

All this comparison, however, reportedly got into Middleton's nerves. The outlet claimed that the Duchess would rather spend her free time at home rather than go to social gatherings. The pressure to follow Princess Diana's footsteps was allegedly too much for her to take.

In a separate report, CDL also pointed out that Princess Diana suffered from depression during her early years as well.  

"When no one's listening to you, all you feel when no one's listening to you, all sorts of things start to happen. For instance, you have so much pain inside yourself that you try and hurt yourself on the outside because you want to help," Princess Diana explained.

The royal pointed out that some have the tendency to forget that they are just like any other human beings who need to take a break once in a while.

"People see it as crying wolf or attention-seeking, and they think, because you're in the media all of the time, you've got enough attention," she added.

Apart from the public incessantly comparing her to Princess Diana, the Daily Mail reported that Middleton also had to deal with the upcoming wedding of Prince William's first girlfriend Olivia Hunt.

It has long been rumored that Middleton is jealous of Hunt. Insiders claim that if it were up to her, they would not be attending the ceremony. Prince William, however, allegedly argued that ditching the wedding would only get the rumor mills churning.
