Fans Line Up for Rihanna’s New Perfume Launch

Rihanna celebrated her 10 years in the business by launching a new perfume aptly called "RiRi" at Macy's Brooklyn. Fans waited for hours just to get a glimpse of the star.

The "RiRi" perfume is the latest fragrance in her growing perfume line. She started in the fragrance industry back in 2011 with Parlux, the global producer of celebrity perfumes. Her latest scent is described as crisp and fruity with hints of honeysuckle and Indonesian sandalwood.

The singer tweeted about her launch with a photo donning long pink gloves with pearl cufflinks, a look reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe's "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" video.


Rihanna's navy of followers had to buy the three-piece set of RiRi fragrance costing $126.00 at Macy's in order to participate in the meet-and-greet session. They were given VIP passes and a limited edition talisman in exchange for their purchase.

The Barbados beauty wore a pink ensemble to match her ad for the fragrance. Her lace, puff sleeved dress was created by Vivienne Westwood. She wore light pink Christian Louboutin pumps and accessorized her outfit with a Christian Dior bag. She finished her look with a couple of diamond chokers and a Suzanne Kalan topaz necklace.

Rihanna's latest fragrance sells for $60.00 for the 3.5-ounce bottle and $20.00 for the 0.2-ounce rollerball.

The 27-year-old singer has 50.5 million followers on Twitter and 25 million followers on Instagram. She is the first Barbados beauty to star in a Christian Dior campaign. She also has a lipstick line with MAC and a fashion label with River Island.
