Lee created "Fantastic Four" with Jack Kirby. King brought up the movie in the conversation and said it didn't do well and asked Lee why.

The 92-year-old artist quipped in jest, "Well, it was probably because I didn't have a cameo in it, and they didn't discuss the story with me. I haven't seen it yet, so I really can't comment."

Putting it into perspective, director Josh Trank should've at least consulted Lee about the movie reboot. The legendary artist could've saved the franchise by throwing in a couple of ideas.

King was surprised that he hasn't seen the movie yet. Lee said that he doesn't run to see his movies. He joked that he just walks leisurely to get there. Lee also expressed his concern that film reboots are being done too soon.

Two interns for the Larry King Now were present during the interview and chronicled some of their favorite moments on the set.

Rachel Stark and Yasi Aghania shared that Lee understands full well that that there are responsibilities that come with being an icon. He creates characters with different backgrounds because he acknowledges that "white" superheroes aren't the only kind of heroes that should exist.

When asked who among his creations he identifies with the most, Lee said Iron Man because he's "handsome and glorious" much like how Robert Downey Jr. portrays it.

Lee has appeared in a lot of cameo roles in Marvel movies except for this year's "Fantastic Four," "X2," and "X-Men: First Class."
