Words no matter how good or bad it is will always be perceived differently  by others. Time has posted that Horowitz took to Twitter Tuesday afternoon to apologize for his statements about Elba, saying he is "mortified to have caused offence." It appears that Anthony Horowitz, the writer requested by Ian Fleming's estate to author the next James Bond novel, aired his opinion on casting for the next Bond movie. The comments given by Anthony Horowitz sparked a pool of online issues about his comments.

This is not the first time that Anthony Horowitz has voiced his mind in the public. CBC earlier noted Anthony Horowitz when the author stated that "Skyfall" was the least of his least favourites and it is the one Bond film he never liked. It seems that the author has been remarkably saying his thoughts out loud. The outcome? A misunderstanding that led him to retract his word. Dailymail previously stated that Horowitz posted an apology to the 42-year-old star on Twitter, writing: "I'm really sorry my comments about Idris Elba have caused offence. That wasn't my intention."

The comment started when Horowitz was asked about his sentiments if Idris Elba would make a good James Bond. When Horowitz responded by saying Idris Elba was not a good fit, it generated a negative impact on the fans and for him as well. One comment on Twitter was posted by Dailymail, "If Idris Elba is 'too street' to be James Bond, then what hope is there for the rest of us? The man could be in pyjamas and outclass us."
