China's chief smartphone company Xiaomi has been conjectured to be developing a device named Xiaomi Mi Edge. The said handset will ultimately become a rival of other high-end smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

According to NDTV, the speculator showed an apparent dummy of the device which had a dual-edge display. Superficially, the display featured a screen that extended to the sides of the phone.

Further claims have gone with the idea that Xiaomi Mi Edge's design took inspiration from the earlier company's design of Redmi Note due to the gadget's curved design. It was reported that the gadget is also inspired by Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Chinese Technology blog mobile-dad revealed.

If the talk comes to realization, however, Mi Arch, a previously hyped smartphone will be the first smartphone ever that the Xiaomi company made while featuring the aforesaid attribute. Through estimation, the screen is expected to be 5.2-inch in dimension and a 2k display with a corresponding pixel density of 565 pixel-per-inch.

Meanwhile, the heart of Xiaomi Mi Edge is expected to adapt a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor which will be backed up by over 3GB of RAM. An Adreno 418 may come as the configuration of the GPU.

More supposition has it that the handset may also houses a 16-megapixel camera with an additional feature of optical image stabilization. Mi Edge may also contain a fingerprint sensor as an extra security element of the phone.

According to hypothesized hearsays, Mi Edge retail price possibly will start at approximately 2500 Yuan, an equivalent of $400, which is way cheaper than its soon to be Samsung rivals.
