"Married at First Sight" third season is in jeopardy as season 2 of the reality show fails to deliver happy ever afters.

The season 1 of "Married at First Sight" was labeled successful enough that producers thought a second offering would further boost the appetite of viewers. However, the reality show began to crumble in season 2 when most of the couples who were featured in the show ended their "instant" relationship" with each other. The breakups were so bad that one couple even ended up threatening to kill each other. According to Movie News Guide, there were instances though that couples found bliss upon wedding someone they have met for the first time like Emma Rathbone and James Ord-Hume who are planning to stick it out and even try to have kids.

In the same post by Movie News Guide, "Married at First Sight" was tagged as a reality show behavioral and relationship professionals try to play matchmakers. Once they have created the right pair, man and woman are prepared to marry each other as they are introduced for the first time in a church. The couples are then given six weeks to try out the marriage and after that they can decide whether to move forward or not. Many critics of the show compare the deal to taking on a freak stranger whom the guy or girl does not have any idea or background of and letting him or her inside one's home.

According to The Gospel Herald, the executive producer of the show Chris Coelen addressed the problems of the show and shared information on how the selection process is done. He said it starts out by sending an advance casting team to a specific location where they are to look for single individuals. Coelen said that both genders are treated equally and that they don't discriminate where they look for candidates for the show.
