Brady also apologized to those he my have offended while trying to resolve the situation and expressed gratitude towards the legal team of the NFL Players Association, led by his lawyer Jeffrey Kessler, for fighting so hard along with him.

Brady added that it is a privilege to be a member of the NFL and that he will always try to do my best in representing his team and the league.

He issued his statement Friday on his personal Facebook page where he also also announced that the Patriots are holding their first official practice of the regular season Saturday morning.

The legal saga is obviously not over yet as NFL has appealed the decision by U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman on Thursday that vacated Brady's four-game suspension.

Feelings will continue to be offended as exhibited by Brady's father, Tom Brady Sr., going off on radio against the NFL commissioner and calling the latter a flaming liar.

SB Nation reported that Brady Sr. claimed Goodell lied not only in his son's case but also in the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson cases.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers--the Patriots opening season foes-- expressed approval of Berman 's decision as it would be a more meaningful victory with Brady quarterbacking against them rather than a less-seasoned Jimmy Garoppolo.

Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward said they wanted the Patriots' best to face their best in Ben Roethlisberger.
