By now, most of the One Direction fans are quite sad with the thought that their favorite boy band will be having a one year break from playing good music together. However, Simon Cowell, the one who supported the band for such a long time, thinks that this break will actually be great for the boys.

The involvement that Cowell has had with One Direction's career has been quite enormous. The boys signed up for his Syco Records in 2010, after being in the Top 3 of The X Factor UK edition.

Cowell assured fans that though they might not be in a good mood, the boy group does deserve this one year break due to their workload that has been stressing them out, as shared by an insider from Venture Capital Post.

Furthermore, Cowell stated that he was quite proud of how the group managed to still hold their fan base after Zayn Malik left them earlier this year. He also believes that the four remaining group members value their fans a lot and after their return, they will be better as a boy group.

When asked how he wants the boy band to bid farewell to their fans, well he merely said that he thinks that their last performance should be in the finals of The X Factor. He also said that he thinks that One Direction will be seen in the X Factor's finals this year.

The boy band is still promoting their new album and they will be releasing it towards the end of this year.  According to Sugar Scape, Cowell also has some words of wisdom for former One Direction band member Zayn Malik. He said that Zayn ought to have some sense of perspective back and he is worried of Malik's recent Twitter feud with Naughty Boy and Calvin Harris.

What fans of One Direction find reassuring is that they will not be disbanding, but merely having a year off. This is quite evident in the tweets of the band members.
