Star Fox Zero For The Wii U Delayed Until 2016

Star Fox Zero for the Wii U has been delayed and will no longer be released this year, announced Nintendo's software designer Shigeru Miyamoto thru Twitter and Facebook.

According to GameSpot, Star Fox Zero was supposed to be released on November 2015 in North America and Europe. But Miyamoto has to make a big decision knowing that many expecting players and fans will be dismayed. He said that the Wii U game is a progressing well and is technically ready to hit the released date. But they have to work on the unprecedented discovery innate to the game's two-screen control scheme that needs more time.

Star Fox Zero is designed to show how the Wii U's GamePad controller be used. The controller has motion controls and own touchscreen. The levels are designed to gradually get the player into a novel way of playing. The game has a cinematic battle flying craft Arwing on the TV screen. While the GamePad shows the first-person cockpit view in aiming at targets with accuracy. All of the characters are animals. Fox McCloud is the red fox, the main character, and the leader of the team. Falco Lombardi is the purple-headed peregrine falcon which is the wingman. Peppy Hare is the rabbit who wears a red suit, serves as Fox's mentor, and gives instructions and advices on their challenges. And Slippy Toad is the frog and serves as the team's inventor and mechanic as well as the sidekick.

This game will have a cooperative multiplayer gameplay. One person can control the movement of Arwing, which the Star Fox team's primary space and air vehicle, and the other aims and fires the shots to the targets.

Star Fox Zero is being co-developed by Platinum Games, is the sixth installment in the Star Fox series, and is aimed to release in the first quarter of 2016, engadget reported.
