Ubisoft’s New Game Far Cry Primal Sets On Prehistoric Time

Ubisoft's new Far Cry Primal is a spin-off of the series that sets on thousand years ago when mankind was fighting for survival and battle against saber-toothed tiger with nothing but a spear.

The game is an open-world shooter series, moving away from the modern day settings of the Pacific, Africa, and the Himalayas to the early days of mankind in 10,000 BC. Far Cry Primal takes players to a time were humans is at the top of food chain, surviving against fearsome beasts, fighting animals such as woolly mammoths, saber-toothed tigers and bears with only bows and spears to use. The game also features rivalry tribes who are out there to take your pre-historic stuff.

According to Metro, the story is about Takkar, a man who loses everything and becomes the last surviving member of their tribe and must survive in the mysterious region of Oros. Narrative director of the game Jean-Sebastien stated that Far Cry games are about survival, and they are all about survival. Elias Toufexis plays the main character of the game who is best known for his work as Adam Jenson in the recent Deus Ex series.

Far Cry game is a multistudio effort, managed by Ubisoft Montreal which led to the last two games in the series, and is in collaboration with the publisher's in Toronto, Shanghai and Kiev offices.

According to Digital Spy, the game is not the first Far Cry spin-off. The developer comes up with the idea to a downloadable parody of 1980s movies with Blood Dragon in the months after Far Cry 3's release, but they never expect this one to take things a little more seriously.

Far Cry Primal is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Feb. 23, 2016 and also coming to PC sometime in March 2016.
