NBC is worried that Jimmy Fallon's drinking may be getting out of control after the talk show host and comedian injured himself for the third time in just four months.

Sources say NBC executives are  worried that Fallon is falling into a downward spiral after a blunder at a Harvard University party forced the 41-year old to undergo emergency treatment to save his finger.

He spent 10 days in intensive care, which meant a two-week hiatus from his hit TV show "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon."

When he returned, Fallon jokingly lamented that he had been tweeting with one hand and that he was drugged up and blessed.

Less than eight weeks later, Fallon chipped his tooth after trying to pry open a tube of scar tissue repair gel.

In his most recent injury, the accident-prone TV host was celebrating after he was awarded The National Lampoon Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor by the legendary Harvard University magazine.

A footage released from the event showed Fallon holding a beer as he greeted fans before stumbling over a woman who had bent down in front of him.

The next days, Fallon was paraded through the University streets in Cambridge, Massachussets. He also posted an instagram snapshot captioned "Nothing that a few band aids could not fix."

After his latest injury, NBC Network executives were said to have met regarding their star's habits. It was not clear if the executives met with Fallon, but their concerns were reportedly relayed to his managers.

It appears that Fallon was given another chance following announcement that his contract has been extended to 2021.

A network spokesperson recently told The New York Post, "Jimmy is a highly valued member of the NBC family, he is both a tireless worker and an extraordinarily gifted performer. We are proud of his accomplishments both on and off camera and we look forward to working with him for many more years to come."
