Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said that the game's success is evidence of the teamwork at 343 Industries and of fan's love for the story, characters, and gameplay. The game will have the anchor title in the greatest holiday games lineup in Xbox history.

There has been more than $400 million in global sales of games and hardware of Halo 5 in one week, making the franchise rise over the US$5 billion mark. An online tool that 343 Industries developers created will help worldwide gamers create recruitment ads to find the right players for their squads in multiplayer. An interactive site - Squadvertiser.com - has been introduced for ads to be made. This site is available in nine countries. It has a jobs board so that the ad creators can browse and apply directly.

Recruitment ads of players will be created and shared as billboards or home and web banners around the world. A range of visuals, player types, and other criteria is selected and a customized text is required for gamers to make an official ad and find the right squad members.

In Great Britain, over 1500 ads are currently being run. However, access is required to look at email addresses in the gamer's profile.
