Premier League defending champions Chelsea is reportedly going to use the potential sale of winger Eden Hazard for the planned bid for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo next summer.

The Blues are having a nightmarish season so far with only three wins to show in their first 12 games of the new season and are currently drifting in the bottom quarter of the league table.

A major change is about to take place at Stamford Bridge and it does not only include replacing head coach Jose Mourinho but also shaking the present lineup as well.

Strikers Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao, and Loic Remy are all speculated to be transferred as early as this January window as Chelsea tries to salvage a lost season where they should be defending the crown they won last May.

One of the loudest rumored shake-ups is the selling of 2014-15 Premier League Player of the Season and two-time Chelsea Player of the Year awardee Hazard, who had recently been struggling under Mourinho's system with no goals in 10 appearances so far this season.

Daily Mail Online reported that the Pensioners are "plotting a mega-money deal to sign" Los Blancos' leading goal scorer Ronaldo and that it would be "funded by the sale" of Hazard and the other players who are also presently struggling.

Chelsea wants Ronaldo to be their "marquee signing of the future" and they also plan to "build a new side around" him despite his advancing age, as per Caught Offside.

However, some reports were saying that Ronaldo's Stamford Bridge transfer will not happen as long as Mourinho, his former Madrid coach, is there.

It should be noted that there is a sour history between the two during the 52-year-old Portuguese manager's final year at the Bernabéu in 2013, which was Ronaldo's prime. The two reportedly had a heated argument in the team's locker room that led to other players restraining the Portugal captain from going after Mourinho.

Another team that is closely linked to Ronaldo is Paris Saint-Germain, who most football analysts believe will be the final destination of the 30-year-old Portuguese forward before next season begins.
