The 2015 TV Star Awards Malaysia handed out awards to this year's brightest stars, with Captain Destiny getting the biggest awards on TV.

Captain of Destiny took home the Favorite Drama, Favorite Actor, Favorite Theme Song, Favorite Characters, and Most Improved Actor awards. What surprised everyone was the two-way tie in the Favorite Actress honors for Kristal Tin and Nancy Wu, the first in TVB's history.

The 2015 TVB Star Awards Malaysia is considered the lead up to the TVB Anniversary Awards. It was held on Nov. 28 at the Arena of Stars in Kuala Lumpur.

Luisa Maria Leitão, Bob, Jarvis Chow, and Ashley Chu hosted the gathering of stars. FAMA, Maria Cordero, and Shila Amzah were also in the event to entertain the biggest names in the industry.

The list of nominees was rolled out on Oct. 13, 2015 and the winners were determined by popular vote. Audience vote accounted for 70 percent, while the remaining 30 percent came from a professional judging panel.

Emotions filled the event. Ghost of Relativity stars Kristal Tin and Nancy Wu both shed tears after receiving their award. This was Tin's first TV win in Malaysia while the honor was Nancy's first-ever Best Actress award.

Ruco Chan, who got the Favorite Actor plum, was unable to attend the event because of prior commitment.

The Fixer's Benjamin Yuen and Raising the Bar's Elaine Yiu won the Favorite Supporting Actor and Favorite Supporting Actress, their first acting feats. The Most Improved acting honors were given to Mat Yeung and Wu Fung. Here is the complete list of winners:
