15&'s Baek Yerin has launched her career as a solo artist with the release her first album.

The singer first disclosed news about the upcoming launch of her first solo album on Nov. 30. It will be titled Frank and contains six songs, including the title song: "Across the Universe."

"Across the Universe," has been hailed as the song that really reflects the singer's emotions. Baek collaborated with the producer Gureum for this album. According to her, the song is aa manifestation of her emotional distances with people, aptly delivered with the metaphor of universe into lyrics which went well with her lovely voice.

Baek Yerin actively participated in the production of her album, from writing the lyrics and melodies to the planning of the album contents, including the choice of cover photos, music video and other details.

A darling in the Singaporean music scene, Baek is enjoying popularity with her singing ability and charming voice since she launched as a member of 15&.

Baek's foray into entertainment started in 2007, with an appearance in an episode of the SBS variety show Amazing Contest Star King, where she belted out Beyonce's "Listen,"  and got labeled as "contemporary R&B genius." Following her Star King appearance, she auditioned for JYP Entertainment, where she won the second place honors - behind 2PM's Jang Woo-young. From 2007 until 2012, she trained in South Korea and the United States to improve her vocal talent, piano, and English language.

In 2012, she joined as one-half of the music duo 15&, together with Park Ji-min, with their debut album "I Dream" launched in the same year.

In 2015, the single 'Me You,' which she performed with San E, was nominated in the Song of the Year award category at the 7th Melon Music Awards.
