The album was officially released midnight Tuesday in Korea.

But the Korean rapper admitted it would be difficult to replicate the magnitude of Gangnam Style's success.

"I don't think another success like Gangnam Style will happen to me again. It is a miracle when songs full of Korean lyrics gain worldwide popularity," Psy revealed during the press conference at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeouido.

In fact, the overwhelming success proved too much for Psy that he decided to slow down while preparing for his next album.

The peculiar South Korean singer surprised the international music scene with the hit music video featuring him in horse-riding dance that bolted him to global fame.

But the instant fame outside home was difficult for him to cope with.

"The pressure and stress was simply too huge," he said.

"The sheer weight of Gangnam was so heavy, I don't even go to Gangnam anymore," he joked.

Psy was already a popular K-Pop figure in Korea a decade before "Gangnam Style" conquered the world.

His new album, which translates "This Is Psy's Seventh Album" in English, contains nine tracks in varying genres from EDM to hip-hop to punk. It also highlights his collaboration with Hollywood singers like Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and Ed Sheeran, as well as with Korean singers Zion T and JYJ's Junsu.

Psy said that his new album is rich in emotions, varying from happiness and anger to sadness, joy, love, hatred and greed, which were also reflected in his previous works.

"Because this is an album that retains my continued desire as a lyric writer who wants to try things other than love songs in a movie-like way, there are several genres," Psy explained
