If rumors about the iPhone 5S' replacement are true, the iPhone 6 could be bigger with standout features.

The new phone could be launched with the iPhone 6C and the iWatch.

Recently, details about the production of the iPhone 6 emerged in Weibo from a user citing Foxconn sources. Supply chain sources said the next-gen flagship handset has already entered the PVT or product validation test stage where Apple identifies potential issues and flaws with the device after manufacture.

Weibo user Xiang Ligang also said Foxconn has finished the production of several iPhone 6 devices for final quality control test.

There were also reports saying a new Apple patent was recently validated. The patent states the technology involves audio speakers that feature a moving magnetic piston.

It serves as a sound producing element that allows devices to emit more vibrant sounds. Apple also said the technology works perfectly with acoustic transducers typically included in thin devices.

The system could be for the upcoming iPhone 6 and other Apple mobile devices. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office released a patent on Aug. 14 for a Long Throw Acoustic Transducer.

The patent illustrates an acoustic transducer with a circular cylinder or a rectangular cross-section housing that has two closely attached magnets capable of high magnetic permeability. Apple said the application is code 20140226849 credited to Scott Porter, Christopher Wilk and Ruchir Dave.

Meanwhile, electronics manufacturer Pegatron is said to have secured orders from Apple to start building 15 percent more of the next-gen 4.7-inch iPhone 6 units.  The news suggests Apple will divide production between Foxconn and Pegatron.

Both manufacturers are expected to make some 50 million iPhone units of different sizes this year. It's also been reported that the first fingerprint sensors set for the next-gen iPhone and iPads have been delivered for the upcoming release.

Foxconn is also said to be recruiting 100,000 workers for the iPhone 6 project, the largest recruitment push in the company's history.
