Unbeaten no more! The Golden State Warriors tasted their 2015-16 season's first defeat with a surprising 108-95 loss at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks, ending the NBA-record start at 24.

The shocking defeat came at the end of a grueling seven-game road trip for the weary Warriors, who won against the Boston Celtics on Friday with a hard and  tiring double overtime game and extend the streak to 28 consecutive regular season victories dating back to last season.

"Not from me. Losing sucks. Even if you are 24-1, losing still sucks. I'm sure the long flight home tomorrow and guys unwinding a bit, I'm sure there will be a little relief mentally going forward."Golden States' Luke Walton said, when asked if there a sense of relief that the winning streak had ended.

The Warriors were cold from the three-point range, connecting only six three-pointers out of the 26 attempts made from behind the arc.

According to ESPN article, the reigning league's MVP Stephen Curry scored a team-high 28 points shooting 10-of-21 from the field, including 2-of-8 from 3-point area. However, it was not good enough as the Bucks led by double digit for much of the night.

The NBA all-time record of straight victories was set by the Los Angeles Lakers with 33 consecutive wins in the 1971-72 season. The Warriors fell five wins shy of matching that record.

According to Yahoo Sports report, the Golden States' win streak stands as the second longest in NBA history, and the longest to start a season.

In a strange twist of flashback fate, the Bucks were also the team that ended the Lakers' streak with a 120-104 victory on January 9, 1972.

Greg Monroe scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Bucks, who got the all-around effort needed to beat the defending NBA champions. He looked surprisingly fresh after losing 90-83 in Toronto on Friday.

With the win over Warriors, the Bucks improved to just 10-15 on the season as they sit in last in the Central Division.
