“Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5” has been released for last-gen consoles PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was originally due in November, but was only released on Tuesday, Dec. 15 without any fanfare.
Critics say the launch of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles was a disappointment to many players due to the bugs and glitches that came along with it.

Engadget reports that the result of the disappointing launch led to two responses:
First, fans and critics panned the game, with most of them giving negative comments and low scores found in Metacritic;
Second, game studio Activision decided to delay the previous-gen versions launch, so that they can focus on fixing the game, making it up to those who had already paid for the game.
Considering all the rants and negative backlash that the fifth installment of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater received, it's a surprise that the game will still be released. Many fans were probably thinking that the game will be scrapped already.
Activision hasn't released an official announcement regarding the quiet launch. Game news websites only picked up the information from retailer listings that say the game is already available. It will have physical versions in the U.S., while U.K. players will only be able to purchase the game digitally.
For those who want to purchase the game and try it out, however, a word of caution is advised. Should the bugs remain, the game will still be a mess, and playing will be as frustrating as it was on the day that it was launched on the PS4 and Xbox One.
Fans are also reminded that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 does not have online multiplayer features.
However, as Activision released update 1.03, a huge stability issues-fixing update a few weeks ago, fans can only hope for the last-gen version of the game to be fixed too.
