The Red Devils and Los Blancos are both having subpar seasons if based on both organizations' standards with Louis van Gaal's men settling at the fourth spot in the English top flight while Rafa Benitez's side down at the third spot in La Liga.

The two clubs are having problems with their attacking options this season. The departure of Robin van Persie and the lackluster plays of Wayne Rooney are evidently affecting United while rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema's exit at the Bernabéu are also having an effect on Real.

According to reports from Spain, Los Vikingos will try to persuade Sanchez to move back to La Liga, promising that he will have more chances of success with the capital city team than with the Old Trafford residents.

In other news, the Red Devils are also rumored of raiding EPL club Everton FC this January with a planned £100 million double bid for striker Romelu Lukaku and defender John Stones allegedly already set.

Real, on the other hand, is said to be keen on buying Chelsea's Eden Hazard for £75 million as Florentino Perez's new Galactico signing also in January in a deal that includes moving James Rodriguez to the Stamford Bridge.
