Nikki Sixx: Stop Bashing Gene Simmons

Motley Crue member Nikki Sixx, who started slamming KISS lead vocals Gene Simmons for his reckless comments about people who are suffering from depression, is now encouraging fans to stop the 'Gene Simmons bash-athon'.

Gene Simmons has become the target of criticism recently after he allegedly said that he doesn't want to be close to people who are drug addicts in reference to his former KISS band mates lead guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss. The rock star has also implied that people who are suffering from depression should just kill themselves during an online interview he had with SoundFacts.com.

Additionally, Gene Simmons also said, "I'm the guy who says 'Jump' when there's a guy on top of a building who says, 'That's it, I can't take it any more - I'm going to jump'. Shut the [expletive] up, have some dignity and jump."

One of the people who reacted to the KISS member's rather indifferent and irresponsible remark was Motley Crue member Nikki Sixx. He was said to have aggravated the controversy by calling Gene Simmons 'moronic' on his satellite radio show.

KISS songs were also banned by Australian radio station bosses from airing due to the comments made by Gene Simmons.

"My intentions in speaking very directly, and perhaps politically incorrectly, about drug use and alcoholics have been misconstrued as vile commentary on depression," Simmons wrote on his apology. "Unkind statements about depression was certainly never my intention."

Seemingly satisfied with Gene Simmon's actions subsequent to the controversy, Nikki Sixx is more than willing to end his feud with the KISS singer, encouraging fans to stop bashing on the rocker.

However, as Nikki Sixx tries to make an effort to end the issue, British rock star Ginger Wildheart has gotten involved, demanding for Simmons to be removed from the KISS fan documentary.

Ginger Wildheart says that he was offended by what Simmons had to say about people who are struggling with addiction and depression. He has also let go of other statements that insulted the KISS member.
