Milla Jovovich and her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson are expecting their second child. The couple confimed the news on Facebook

The 38-year old model-actress and the "Resident Evil" director welcomed their daughter Ever in 2007 and tied the knot in 2009.

Despite the good news, "Resident Evil" fans may be disappointed at Jovovich's pregnancy announcement. The actress explained that due to the pregnancy, production for the upcoming sequel to the sci-fi franchise, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter," will be delayed.

Jovovich led the five previous installments of the movie series, while Anderson wrote all five movies and directed three.

The "Joan of Arc" actress shared, "So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone's best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle [a new Resident Evil] movie. Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn't think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo!"

The soon-to-be mom-of-two stated that she and her husband want to provide fans with the best movie possible, so they appreciate their patience in waiting for the sequel.

Production for the sequel has already started, but will temporarily be on hold until the two can begin shooting in South Africa next year.

Ukranian-born Jovovich was previously married to Shawn Andrews whom she met while filming the 1992 cult movie, "Dazed and Confused".

Although Andrews was already 21 at that time, Jovovich was only 16. Her mother annulled their marriage two months after.

Shortly after the annulment, the model-actress moved to Europe where she met and fell in love with the ex-bassist of Jamiroquai, Stuart Zender. The two lived together for a year until they broke up in 1995.

Jovovich also dated John Frusciante, the former guitarist of Red Hot Chilli Peppers. They only saw each other for seven months.

Although Anderson and Jovovich split briefly in 2003, the two seem to have finally established a very stable family life.
