China Mobile has revealed that Apple's new 4-inch mobile phone called iPhone 6c will be launched in April next year.

The rumored release date of Apple's new and smaller iPhone model comes from a presentation of China Mobile that was spotted by MyDrivers, which it says showed at the upper right box of the chart onscreen that a new Apple handset will be coming April of 2016.

Even though the characters at the upper right side of the chart are difficult to read, Apple Insider has confirmed that the presentation slide says "Apple" in the text in question, and the column above mentioned the month of April. In addition, the word "iPhone" written in Mandarin was also noticed in the presentation.

The report was first discovered by Gadgetz Arena. According to the original report, Apple will be releasing a new handset called "iPhone 7c," but Apple typically updates its flagship handsets in the fall timeframe.

Later on, the rumored iPhone 7c was changed to a new iPhone model, which was referred to as iPhone 6c. The new report was based on the fact that the 4-inch smartphone is expected to feature many of the same components as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s series.

Apple's new rumored iPhone called "iPhone 6c" has been the subject of numerous gadget enthusiasts in recent weeks. Many Apple fans believe that the company is now working on a new, smaller 4-inch model with an A9 processor that supports Apple Pay feature.

The device is expected to be a low-end model that would replace the iPhone 5s. According to reports, the new iPhone will be lacking the 3D Touch pressure sensing input that can be found in iPhone 6s series. But it has suggested that it will sport a metal chassis giving it a more "premium" feel than the iPhone 5c lineup.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an Analyst of KGI Securities, says that new 4-inch iPhone will be launched in April 2016. Kuo also believes that the new model is similar to the iPhone 5s but it will only feature "2.5D" cover glass, which is slightly curved like on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.
