Being a Chinese language film, it surpassed all movie goers expectation by being a box office hit in Malaysia, according to producer Raymond Wong. Max Zhang and Patrick Tam, the supporting actors, were thrilled at the success of the film and seized the opportunity to thank movie-goers for their support by making an appearance at a movie theatre with Wong.

The film stars the ever famous Mike Tyson, while supporting actor Danny Chan portrays Yip Man's Pupil Bruce Lee. Edited by Edmund Wong, the film is a second sequel to "Ip Man," which was released in 2008 and "Ip Man 2," which was the first sequel in  March 2010.

Coincidentally, Donnie Yen has played the character of the grand master Wing Chun and this gives the film an extended continuity and martial art fans followers can relate more easily to the student's characters. Most viewers have come off better equipped with martial arts history and knowledge, and there is a loyal following to the epic martial art.

It will not be a surprise if the film breaks the box office records in the United States and other parts of the world, considering the huge following of "Ip Man," or Yip Man, which can now be seen as a force to be reckoned with in the movie world.
