The smartphone market is heating up day-by-day, and all the big players are unveiling new devices. Xiaomi, being comparatively new to the market, has made sure that its place in the smartphone arena is secure. Facing competition positively, Samsung has also served its customers with handsets of great productivity.

Samsung's Galaxy Grand Prime, which was released in 2014, has been game-changer in the mid-range category. The smartphone comprises a 5 inch TFT display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a 220 ppi density. It weighs around 156 grams.

The device features a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset and clocks at 1.2 Ghz frequency, while Adreno 306 GPU provides the device a decent graphical stability. With a RAM of 1GB, an 8GB internal storage is availed with an extendable micro SD slot till 64GB. The device is equipped with an 8 megapixel primary camera with auto-focus and a LED flash. Its secondary camera has 5 megapixel sensor with 1080p resolution.

On the other hand, Xiaomi RedMi Note 3 packs a 5.50-inch display and a resolution of 1080 x1920 pixels with 403 ppi. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is powered by Helio X10 MediaTek octa-core processor and a RAM of 2GB. The storage provided is 16GB internal and is not expandable. The primary camera is configured at 13 MP with a 5 MP front snapper.

Comparing the two phones, Xiaomi has come up with an exceptional gadget. Xiaomi RedMi Note 3 is superior with most of its specs when compared to the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. Except for the brand name Samsung, Grand Prime does not even have LTE support, which rates the device low.
