Chinese company Coolpad has launched its latest device in India called Coolad Note 3 Lite for the price of Rs. 6,999 ($103).

The Coolpad Note 3 Lite smartphone will be exclusively available via Amazon India with a special sale offer. The sale is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. IST on Jan. 28. The registration for this special deal begins in Friday at 5 p.m. IST.

The device is a basic version of the Coolpad Note 3, which was launched in the country in October 2015 at Rs. 8,999.

Coolpad Note 3 Lite smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 chipset paired with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The company reported that its built-in processor is the highlight of the device at this price point. The device features a 5-inch IPS display screen with an HD 720x1280 resolution and a built-in 16GB internal storage that is expandable with a microSD card up to 64GB storage.

The smartphone also supports dual-SIM dual-4G connectivity that runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Cool UI 6.0. The handset is capable of fingerprint scanning sensing, which is placed on the back panel under its camera module.

In terms of its cameras, the device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. For connectivity, the handheld device supports 4G Indian LTE bands, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and Micro-USB - with OTG support. In addition, the handset is powered by a 2500mAh non-removable battery, which according to Coolpad, can deliver up to 10 hours of talk-time and up to 200 hours of idle time.

It also features an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, digital compass, and VoLTE (voice over LTE).

Coolpad mentioned that an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Coolpad Note 3 Lite will available soon. The Chinese company has partnered with HCL for after sales service in India.
