Former Brazilian footballer and current Corinthians Director of Football Edu Gaspar has voiced his frustration about the 2015 Brazilian Championship Serie A winning squad being pulled apart, but stressed his confidence that Coach Tite will rebuild the team.

Chinese outfits have been very relentless in raiding clubs in different leagues - with Timao being one of the prime targets thus far.

An increasing number of the club's significant players are leaving the side and some others are reported to also be the interest of cash-rich Chinese outfits.

Recently, it was reported that the club's center-back Gil accepted an offer from Shandong Luneng that will earn the player a whooping US$375,000 monthly salary.

2015 Brazilian Championship best player Renato Augusto left Corinthians to join the Beijing Guoan along with teammate midfielder Ralf.

Midfielder Jadson and Luis Fabiano moved to the Tianjin Quanjian.

Corinthians has also lost center-back Edu Dracera to Palmeiras and striker Vagner Love to Monaco.

However, not all the integral member of the club's title winning team have decided to leave. Alexandre Pato, midfielder Elias and goalkeeper Cassio have all rejected lucrative offers.

Pato turned down Tianjin Quanjian's offer in hopes of a European comeback, while Cassio expresses his satisfaction with the club.

Elias also chose to be a Timao and declined the generous bid of Hebei China Fortune.

With the huge amount of money involved in the transfer offers, Timao chief Edu says it is difficult for Corinthians to compete in the market.

"Many clubs feel that the Corinthians is economically healthy. Clubs appear to have very difficult valuations. Even average players are being valued as top players now. We cannot go mad. We have to be very judicious", he said.

"It's not because Gil left that we have to bring in a new Gil. It has to be a player that will turn into the next Gil. He has to have good economic viability for the club, the player develops here and then generates money," Edu added.
