Football Transfer News: Hebei China Fortune Offers $7 Million for Gael Kakuta of Sevilla

Spanish La Liga side Sevilla's French left winger Gael Kakuta has reportedly been offered a $7 million bid by the newly-promoted Chinese Super League outfit Hebei China Fortune.

Four-time UEFA Europa League champions Sevilla FC is yet to respond to the offer of the wealthy Chinese club, according Get French Football News.

The article also stated that another club from the China's top premier league is showing interest for Kakuta's services, which is the Shanghai Greenland Shenhua. The club recently signed Inter Milan's Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin in a $14 million deal.

Kakuta's position on the possibility of moving to China remains unclear, but he has struggled since his move to Spain.

Kakuta began his career with local club US Lille-Moulins. He played for the French football side Racing Club de Lens from 1999 to 2007 before becoming a player of the youth team of Chelsea Football Club.

In September 2009, he was included in the Champions League squad by then Chelsea's Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti. The French footballer made his Premier League debut against the Wolverhampton Wanderers on November 21, 2009 and his Champions League kick off game was against the Greek professional football club APOEL in December of the same year.

Kakuta was loaned to several football clubs which include his stints with the Fulham, Bolton Wanderers, Dijon, Vitesse, Lazio and Rayo Vallecano before joining Sevilla following his release by Chelsea on June 2015.

Hebei China Fortune is a professional football club that that was recently promoted to participate in the country's top domestic league, the Chinese Super League. The outfit finished second place in the last season of the China League One.

The Chinese outfit recently made headlines as it has officially closed a transfer deal with the Ivory Coast football star and former Arsenal striker Gervinho from AS Roma of the Italian Serie A with an undisclosed fee.

The Qinhuangdao-based club also got a done deal for the Cameroonian captain and former Marseille center-back Stephane Mbia to move to China.
