After news came out that current Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is set to become Manchester City's new head coach at the end of the season, rumors have then emerged that the Spaniard's desired first signing upon sitting as new City coach is Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Guardian indicated that Guardiola's first pick "on the shopping list" would be France international Pogba, who is said to be valued at around £80 million by the Italian champions for him to be transferred to England.

Reports are out that Manchester City owners are preparing to give the 45-year-old coach "at least £150 million" as budget to spend on new signings as soon as he replaces Manuel Pellegrini this summer, and a huge chunk of that could surely be used to bring the Frenchman to the Etihad soonest.

Pogba also allegedly commands the interest of La Liga champs FC Barcelona and Premier League winners Chelsea, which could provide competition for the wealthy, Middle Eastern-backed Manchester side this summer.

The 6-foot-3 Lagny-sur-Marne, France native has currently appeared in 30 games in all competitions for Juve this season, scoring six goals while mainly functioning as a box-to-box player. He is a skillful, powerful, and versatile player that is effective in both offense and defense, which is perhaps the main reason why Guardiola wants him with his future squad.

Another alleged top target for Guardiola is Everton center back John Stones, who is also reportedly being eyed by Chelsea and perennial contender Manchester United.

Aside from Pogba and Stones, the former Spain manager is also said to be keen on snagging his current Bayern players Robert Lewandowski and Thiago Alcântara, Borussia Dortmund's İlkay Gündoğan, and Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte, via Fox Sports.

There were also rumors that City's resident midfielder, Yaya Touré, will be ready to exit the club upon Guardiola's take over as he does not have a good relationship with the coach, particularly after the latter sold him to City during their time with Barça in 2010.
