The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly put their recently acquired center Greg Monroe on the trading block this season as the team looks to solve chemistry and defense issues that the big man's presence in the lineup allegedly causes.

RealGM noted that "Monroe has been productive on offense but he's been a liability on defense", which is the main thing that "made the Bucks such a dangerous team last season" when they finished the regular season sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 41-41 record.

The 25-year-old former Georgetown standout is averaging 16.6 points and 9.7 rebounds in 49 games with the Bucks so far this season. However, he only produces 0.9 blocks and 0.9 steals per game, which are below par for who should be the team's defensive anchor in the middle.

Monroe signed with Milwaukee to a three-year, $50 million contract in July of last year and he was anticipated to become the franchise big man of head coach Jason Kidd as they try to go deeper in the playoffs this year.

The Bucks have underperformed this season, to say the least, as they are drifting at the 13th spot in the East with a disappointing 20-31 slate, seven games behind the no. 8 spot currently held by the Detroit Pistons with 27-24. It is nowhere near the expectations set by Kidd and the team's owners and officials before the season.

They have recently lost four games in a row and if they can't recover, Monroe's time with the squad may be cut short after only half a season.

Racine Journal Times' Gery Woelfel reported that a "major shakeup" in the Bucks roster could be coming any time now as the team will still try to salvage a lost season and attempt to qualify in the playoffs.

"From what I'm hearing is they (the Bucks) are willing to trade anybody not named Parker, Antetokounmpo or Middleton," an unnamed NBA exec allegedly said. "I even heard they'd listen (to offers) for Parker and Middleton, but it would have to be some crazy offer."

This means that even Monroe is available for interested teams, but of course only for the right price.
