The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is costing phenom pitcher Mo'ne Davis as much as $100,000.
Davis is the first female pitcher to have significant success by pitching a complete game in Little League World Series history. Her talents continue to bring her success and a certain celebrity status.

During the tournament, Davis has been spending time autographing various items - from baseballs, to jerseys, and caps - at Williamsport. Most of these items are finding their way on to Ebay, where an autographed baseball just sold for $510.
While some people think a 13-year old with this much fame is a bad idea, there are others too who welcome the idea.
Brandon Steiner, owner of Steiner Sports, recently said that he would love the idea of partnering up with Davis in order to have her sign items which he can distribute.
Steiner stated that he would be willing to pay her as much as $100,000 for her signed memorabilia. However, he did not follow through with the offer as he thought it would be against NCAA rules. He also retracted because he was fearful at how the deal could possibly affect the eligibility of her future career.
While the NCAA was against the earning money, a federal judge recently ruled though that a young athlete such as Davis is able to earn money from her own image and likeness to the sum total of $5,000.
The judge added that the amount would be deferred until the eligibility of the player expires, which is five years away for Davis.
While Davis' team recently lost 8-1, they are scheduled to play one more game with the Chicago team.
The winner of that game will advance to Las Vegas to play in the U.S. Championship against either Mexico or Japan for the international title.
