Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee has announced its partnership with ShopClues. To start up its partnership, Gionee's P5W smartphone is now exclusively available on ShopClues at only Rs 6,499.

Gionee Communication Equipment Co. Ltd was founded in 2002. Gionee is a hi-tech company engaged in mobile device designing, manufacturing, R&D, sales in international markets, and mobile Internet application services. On other hand, ShopClues is India's first and the largest managed marketplace with more than 100 million monthly visitors on its website. It was founded in July 2011 in Silicon Valley by Sandeep Aggarwal.

Through this association, Gionee smartphones will be available on the ShopClues website.  According to Nitin Kochhar, ShopClues vice president, the company is quickly establishing itself as one of the preferred smartphone brands for Indian customers. He also added that the P5W smartphone was highly anticipated by shoppers, for the reason that they find the handset look great, unbeatable in features, and it comes at a competitive cost.

The Gionee P5W smartphone stands out as it features a 5-inch 720p IPS display screen. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It comes with a built-in 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The Gionee P5W smartphone comes in five color options including red, blue, yellow, white and black.

In terms of the camera, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED-flash, and a 2-megapixel front shooter. The device also supports dual-SIM slot, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and micro-USB 2.0. Gionee P5W smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is fueled by a 2,000mAh capacity battery.
