China’s ‘Little Psy’ Passes Away at 12 After Suffering From Brain Cancer

China's 'Little Psy,' Jun Min Woo has passed away after suffering from brain cancer. He was 12 years old.

Min Woo, more popularly known to the public as China's 'Little Psy,' entered into the spotlight after he made an appearance in a talent show titled "Chinese Dream Show," which aired on Zhejiang TV four years ago.

He impersonated South Korean singer Psy while performing his hit song Gangnam Style. The performance went viral and Min Woo was dubbed as 'Little Psy' of China. He also garnered quite a following after his performances were aired on television.

However, tragedy struck Min Woo after he was diagnosed with a disease called brainstem Giloma which affects the brain. His condition was first made known to the public through a show in Korea.

According to Lollipop, Min Woo was rushed to the hospital on Feb. 8 as he was having breathing problems. However, despite receiving treatment, 'Little Psy' passed away a little after midnight on Feb. 9.

Since Min Woo was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2014, he had been receiving treatment in Korea. As he gained popularity in South Korea, some of his Korean fans have been supporting him. Min Woo was even invited by Psy to attend his show in Seoul.

Sources say that his condition worsened around May 2015. 'Little Psy' and his family eventually decided to go back to their hometown several months later in order to continue his treatment at home until his death on Feb. 9.

Apart from appearing on the 'Chinese Dream Show,' Min Woo also garnered attention after he appeared on a Korean variety show called 'Star King,' where he performed Psy's worldwide hit song.
