According to Kurt Helin of NBS Sports, Blatche "attacked the rim and had a legitimate beef that there should have been a foul call on that play." However, the referee, who was near the play, did not blow his whistle and this enraged the Filipino, forcing him to throw his headband at the official.

The 29-year-old Syracuse, New York born got a technical for his behavior.

Blatche, however, would recover his self-control and take out his exasperations on the Ducks in the second half of the game. He dropped 16 points in the third period to lead the Flying Tigers back and helped spur them to a 104-101 victory, putting Xinjiang within one game away of advancing to the semifinal round.

The Gilas Pilipinas hotshot finished the night with an impressive double-double game performance of a game-high 39 points and 16 rebounds to go along with 5 assists.

Blatche is the 2005 NBA draft 49th overall pick selected by the Washington Wizards. He played for the ballclub from 2005 to 2012 before being waived by the team. He later on signed and joined with the Brooklyn Nets before establishing a career in the CBA.

In the NBA league's 2013-2014 season, the former Nets player averaged 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. With a 47.6 field goal percentage and shooting 74.2 percent from the free throw line.
