Seven-time All-Star guard Joe Johnson has inked a deal with the Eastern Conference Southeast Division team Miami Heat, the Micky Arison-owned club announced on Saturday.

Due to the team's policy, the terms of the contract were not revealed. Johnson, who has being pursued by several NBA playoff teams, is one of only five players in NBA history to record at least 18,000 points, 4,500 assists, 4,000 rebounds and 1,500 made three-point field goals.

With his addition to the Heat roster, Miami now features 38 total All-Star appearances, the most in the NBA.

"To put somebody on the floor that can shoot the ball, can score in different areas of the floor and make plays, just adds to what we're trying to do," Dwayne Wade, the Heat's all-time leading scorer, said following their 101-89 loss with the Boston Celtics. "Joe is a friend of mine. I tried to do my best to paint the picture that this is a good place to be, and the decision from there is his. Make sure he sees my name in his inbox a lot."

Johnson, 34, is a fourteen-year NBA veteran. He was the league's 10th overall pick in the 2001 draft selected by the Boston Celtics.

In his fourteen years of impressive performance, Johnson has played in four different teams in the NBA including Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks and recently the Brooklyn Nets.

The former Arkansas Razorbacks star has appeared in a total of 57 games with the Nets this season. He is currently averaging 11.8 points, 4.1 assists and 3.9 boards in 33.9 minutes a game. Johnson is shooting 40.6 percent from the field, 85.2 percent reliable from the free-throw line and 37.1 percent accurate from the three-point region.
