"This game is always very mental because it's the last game on the road and everybody can't wait to get home," Tony Parker, who scored 15 points in a 5 for 10 shooting from the field, said. "This was a great win. Everybody was very focused."

It was the fifth consecutive win for the Southwest Division's top squad, who have only lost nine games in 59 matches played this season. The Spurs are just three victories behind the Golden State Warriors and over 15 wins ahead of other clubs in its division.

The Spurs closed the first half of the match with a 20-point lead 51-31. The visiting team used an 11-2 charge to open the second half and stretch the game margin to 62-33 with eight minutes remaining in the third period.

San Antonio managed to build a 31-point advantage in the second half, but the Rockets slowly trimmed down the lead. Houston made a 6-2 run that cut the deficit to 11, 94-83 with over three minutes left to play.

The Spurs intentionally fouled Dwight Howard, who had 11 points and 14 rebounds, to slow Houston down, and Leonard and Aldridge both sank baskets to seal the victory.

James Harden had 27 points for the Rockets, who went 10 for 25 from the field in 41.22 minutes of playing time.

"We got our shots, we just didn't knock them down," Harden said. "We played with some aggressiveness in the second half, but it was a little bit too late."
